Pricing and Trials
Pivot Shift is designed as a premium individual planning tool rather than a collection of restricted feature tiers. One subscription provides the complete product; people with unusually complex schedules can add more source capacity.
Founder Beta
Founder Beta access remains complimentary while paid subscriptions are prepared. A beta account will not be converted automatically or charged without advance notice and confirmation.
Base subscription
The agreed Founder subscription is A$12 per month including GST and includes:
- 30 days of full-product trial access
- Up to 8 sources
- All calendar views and manual event tools
- Excel, Google Calendar, and ICS imports
- Roster profiles and Pivot-only overlays
- Conflict, workload, and fatigue signals
- Private calendar feed and exports
- Invitation, referral-link, and QR sharing
There is no permanent cut-down free tier in the planned model. The trial is intended to cover a real roster cycle rather than provide a restricted demonstration.
A payment method is required to start the trial. The trial includes the source allowance selected at checkout. Unless the subscription is cancelled before the trial ends, the selected monthly subscription starts automatically at the end of the 30 days.
Additional source capacity
Most users should not need more than the 8 included sources. Additional capacity can be selected without moving to a different feature tier.
- 8 sources: A$12 per month
- 10 sources: A$15 per month
- 12 sources: A$18 per month
- 14 sources: A$21 per month
- 16 sources: A$24 per month
- 18 sources: A$27 per month
- Up to 25 sources: A$30 per month
Two-source capacity steps add A$3 per month. Individual pricing is capped at A$30 per month for up to 25 sources.
Trying to create another source will not trigger an automatic charge. Additional recurring capacity must be shown clearly and approved before billing changes.
To change an active subscription, open the user menu, choose Manage account, then open Subscription. Select the new source allowance and choose Review change. Pivot Shift shows the new monthly price and Stripe's estimated prorated charge or credit before you confirm it.
Paid upgrades are applied only after Stripe completes the prorated payment. During a trial, changing the allowance does not change the trial dates; the new monthly price applies after the trial.
What counts as a source?
A source keeps one part of your schedule visually and operationally distinct. Examples include a hospital roster, private practice, on-call work, a Google calendar, an ICS subscription, or personal commitments.
No existing source or event is deleted merely because an allowance changes. Before reducing an allowance, delete enough sources to fit the smaller allowance. Pivot Shift will not submit a downgrade to Stripe while the saved source count is too high.
Cancellation and expired access
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the trial or paid billing period. After a trial or paid period ends, or while a payment remains unresolved, the account becomes read-only:
- Existing data remains preserved and viewable.
- Export and account-deletion controls remain available.
- New events, imports, sources, and overlays are disabled.
- Connected calendars and subscribed feeds stop refreshing.
- Resubscribing restores normal operation without deleting the saved account.
Cancellation does not normally refund unused time. This does not limit any refund, cancellation, compensation, or other remedy available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Managing billing
Open the user menu and choose Manage account → Subscription to review the account plan, change source capacity, or open Stripe billing management. Pivot Shift handles source-capacity changes; Stripe handles payment methods, invoices, and cancellation.
