Roster Profiles

Roster profiles remember how a source’s spreadsheet shift codes should become calendar events.

What a profile stores

A profile can store shift-code mappings, event names, start and end times, on-call behaviour, workload inclusion, and other import choices used by the roster importer.

Create or update a profile

Import an Excel roster, review the detected shift codes, and correct their mappings. Save the profile for that source when the preview is accurate. Future imports from a similar roster can reuse it.

Overnight and on-call shifts

Check whether an overnight shift ends the following day. For on-call codes, confirm whether the on-call period starts on the rostered date or the next day. These choices affect calendar placement and workload calculations.

Import and export profiles

Use the profile manager in Settings to export a working profile as a backup or import a profile you previously exported. Always review an imported profile before applying it to a new roster format.

When a roster changes

If the spreadsheet layout or shift codes change, update the profile and check the import preview. Do not assume an older mapping still matches a redesigned roster.
