Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Pivot Shift. By using Pivot Shift, you agree to these terms and to the way Pivot Shift handles information as described in the Privacy Policy.

What Pivot Shift does

Pivot Shift helps users import rosters, connect read-only calendar sources, review events, annotate external events locally, and understand workload and fatigue signals.

Pivot Shift is a planning and visibility tool. It is not a clinical rostering system of record, employment system, payroll system, medical device, or fatigue risk management substitute.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for checking imported roster and calendar information before relying on it. Roster files and external calendars can change, contain errors, or be interpreted incorrectly.

You are responsible for complying with your employer's policies, clinical duties, privacy obligations, and any rules that apply to the information you add to Pivot Shift.

Beta use

Pivot Shift may be provided as a beta or pre-release service. Features may change, break, be removed, or behave unexpectedly while the product is being improved.

You should keep access to your original roster, employer systems, and source calendars. Do not use Pivot Shift as the only copy of information you need to keep.

Calendar and roster data

Pivot Shift imports and stores local copies of roster and calendar information so it can display events and calculate workload signals. External calendar events remain owned and controlled by the original calendar provider.

Pivot Shift does not write to, edit, or delete Google Calendar events. Local overlays, notes, and hidden-event choices exist only inside Pivot Shift.

Acceptable use

You must not use Pivot Shift to access another person's data without permission, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass security controls, upload malicious content, or use the service in a way that is unlawful or harmful.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep Pivot Shift available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features as the product develops.

No professional advice

Pivot Shift may highlight conflicts, workload patterns, and fatigue-related signals, but those outputs are informational only. You remain responsible for professional judgement, workplace escalation, and any decisions based on the data.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pivot Shift is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
